Gerriets was awarded with the ADAM AWARD in bronze for the spectacular show booth design at ShowTech in Berlin. Gerriets was awarded as one oft 30 candidates. The booth design was developed by the German design agency spek DESIGN/Stuttgart.
The award is recognition of Gerriets determination to realize new show trade presentation ideas and to foster its own path in design.

The new ShowTech booth design was a perfect solution. And was demonstrated by positive feedback by many ShowTech visitors.

Summary

The main focus regarding the booth design for the worldwide operating theatre and show systems specialist Gerriets GmbH was to create a booth design by using the company’s own range of products.  Design and structure allowed Gerriets to present the products and innovations in an attractive and clearly arranged manner.

Idea:

The booth area was divided into two areas. The main booth area, presenting the Gerriets product range, was decorated with camouflage fabric. The fabric defined the booth borders and separated the single thematic areas from each other. The stretchability of the camouflage fabric enabled soft edges of the outer booth walls.

The second part of the booth invited visitors into a traditional theatre café. In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere clients had the possibility to communicate and to enjoy freshly prepared local food.  A balustrade defined the shape and border of the café and the kitchen was decorated with a theatre style painted backdrop.

The background of this area was a 70 m² (83 yd²) LED curtain. Each LED is programmed and controlled individually, which allows the creation of animated video images and dynamic effects. A 150 cm (5 ft.) radius chandelier completed the theatre café scene.
