Gerriets GmbH, the German theatrical systems specialist, was awarded with the SHOWTECH Product Awards at the trade show in Berlin, Germany.

The new design for each KABUKI release mechanism is electronically driven and can safely hold and release loads of up to 50 kg (110 lbs.). The new load capacity is close to 100% more capacity as compared to existing systems.Not only is this new design unique and innovative, but it is rugged, reliable and easy to install. Other than the increased load capacity, the variety of mounting options available are equally impressive:

Attachment via carabiner, cable tie, shock cord fastener, shackle or standard tie line.

• By rotating the Kabuki release unit 90 degrees, attachment of a textile with a small diameter flexible tube sewn into a pocket/hem is possible – no eyelets/grommets needed.
• An optionally available “KwikFix” Bracket allows the attachment of raw mate­rial textiles/fabrics, projection screens and even paper directly to the Kabuki release unit without the need of eyelets/grommets.
• Due to the secure load rating of the Kabuki release units, tensioned material applications are possible.

New Security Features

The control system is available in standard configurations of 30 units ( 3 channels x 10 units) and 60 units ( 6 channels x 10 units) and can operate in “Stand-Alone” or DMX mode.

There is a double-check function that verifies that the system is functioning properly.A specially developed end-plug gives feedback to the control system that all cables are properly attached.LED signal lights on the control system unit indicate if each channel is “ready” (green LED) or “not ready” (red LED).In case of power failure, the release units remain locked to avoid unwanted release of the load.
