Sharkstooth Scrim

Providing opacity when lit from the front and transparency when lit from the back, sharkstooth scrim is one of the most useful materials in the gauze family, most often employed for conceals, reveals, and creating the illusion of depth and distance. It is strong, durable, and hangs square off a stage batten.

Bobbinet Scrim

Bobbinet is a netting fabric similar to sharkstooth but with a more open, hexagonal mesh for maximum transparency and light diffusion. In dark colors, bobbinet disappears when it is backlit. Bobbinet is also frequently used to create the illusion of distance and depth when placed in front of a sky drop, and as a means of supporting fabric appliqué in full stage cut drops.
