A giant record player floats weightlessly above the water surface of the underground reservoir of the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern in Houston/Texas. Its reflections in the surrounding water reinforce the effect of the infinity of time and space. Music resounds - is interrupted - its reverberation permeates the subterranean portico....
"Time No Longer" is the title of the immersive sound and video installation by multimedia artist Anri Sala, which was realized with the translucent, ultra-light 3D PROJECTION GAUZE. In addition, Gerriets' overall package included the complete technical equipment for the project, including installation on site. With his work, the artist is currently on the shortlist for the People's Choice Award 2021.
