With the reconstruction of the Bodan dockyard the municipality of Kressbronn has realised its own lake stage, a stage for the region, at Lake Constance, Germany. In the future, the enjoyment of art, culture and culinary delights will be the main focus of this cultural monument. The "Werft1919" is a place to meet, to exchange ideas and to experience the interplay of nature and architecture. The unusual stage situation required special attention with regard to the acoustic design: the single-layer sound-absorbing and multi-layer sound-insulating scurtains made of SATIN CS enable flexible room acoustics and at the same time limit the spread of sound across the expanse of the lake. Furthermore, acoustic curtains made of ABSORBER CS by Gerriets serve as a vestibule in the restaurant.

Partitioning of the main auditorium from the office areas with up to 30 dB sound insulation: 

• Multiple 12-layer sound curtain OFFICE drapes with wave optic; outer layer made from SATIN CS; in beige.
• All curtains installed on TRUMPF 95 track system; motorized with tandem FRICTION DRIVE motors; coupled to the fire alarm system for automatic curtain opening in case of fire.
• Automated emergency exits at all parts of the curtains which can be manually operated by pulling the cord.

The special characteristic in the work of star architect © Tadao Ando Architect & Associates (TAAA) lies in the masterly combination of functionality with a sublime, architectural design vocabulary. As part of the redevelopment of the Bourse de Commerce in Paris - from a commercial centre into an art centre, the Pinault Collection - the materials used were chosen with care. For the auditorium, the choice fell on acoustic curtains made of the object fabric GERRA CS, the sound-reflecting fabric LUNAR DUO as well as the sound-absorbing ABSORBER CS by Gerriets for an acoustically balanced room climate. The opening of the Pinault Collection is planned for 2021.

• The redesign of the "Maracana" restaurant in the Glockenspitze adventure and sports hotel; using printed sound and partition curtains as well as a wall and door covering with prints from the "Estádio do Maracanã" stadium in Brazil, a well-known venue from the Olympic Games and two World Soccer Championships.
• Production and installation of a string curtain using the MACAU CLASSIC effect fabric to highlight the VIP area of the restaurant.
• Further backdrop for the VIP area with the aid of our 5-layer sound curtain OFFICE in wave design, which serves as an entrance and waiting area; outer layer made of the sound absorbing object fabric SATIN CS; printed according to the customer's specifications with an artistic interpretation of the Olympic victory celebration; suspended on TRUMPF 95 OFFICE rail system; curtain dimensions: approx. 14.0 x 3.8 m (46 x 12 ft).
