“Experience innovations” – Gerriets installs G-MESH 12.0 Ring Mesh curtains

The new headquarters of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, also known as the ZF Forum, opened at the end of November 2016. According to Dr. Stefan Sommer, chairman of ZF, topics like mobility of the future and innovations are important themes for ZF. ZF paid attention to consider it in these themes in interior design as well and opened a long-term exhibition “experience innovations”.

Based on this architectural concept, Gerriets supplied the lobby and exhibition area with two futuristic G-MESH partition curtains made of 12.0 Ring Mesh. The curtains are 4.5 m (14’9”) high and approx. 26.0 m (85’4”) wide. Each curtain is fastened to a curved JOKER 95 track system.

The movement of the 400 kg (880 lbs) metal curtains is performed by tandem FRICTION-DRIVE motors. The FRICTION DRIVEs are powered by conductor rails that run beside the track. The whole curtain system can be run through the control cabinet or via remote control.
