Textile scenography for dynamic stage transformations
The production of "The Snow Queen" at the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre uses a clear visual language in which light, space and movement are closely interlinked. The scenography follows the emotional transitions of the play - from cool, transparent winter images to warmer, more open stage compositions. Textile elements play a central role here, as they make spatial and atmospheric changes immediately visible.
A curved track system was used for the flowing scene changes, allowing the curtains to move in a natural, choreographed way. The light fabric supports the changing moods of the production and is integrated into the stage design as an active design element.
Gerriets made curtains from CS VOILE and supplied a specially curved TRUMPF 95 track system as a walk-along version. The form-guided tracks enable precise and even movement sequences that support the scenographic transitions of the production.
