VARIO-CARE NOSLIP 440 g

System component for increasing slip resistance. 

The product creates a pronounced surface texture that significantly enhances slip resistance. It is ideally suited for work areas as well as wet barefoot zones intended to be coated with Gerriets sealants. Furthermore, it is compatible with water-based Gerriets sealants and parquet sealants within the specified areas of application.

Eligibility: Before application, the suitability for safety coverings, floating coverings, more structured surfaces, and studded floors must be clarified for each project.

Application

VARIO-NOSLIP is applied in a two-layer structure.

• The floor must be prepared according to the requirements of the chosen lacquer.

•  VARIO-NOSLIP to the base lacquer in a mixing ratio of 0.44 kg : 5 l (8% in lacquer mixture) and mix thoroughly.

• Then carefully stir in the crosslinker. • Apply the sealant mixture evenly with a coating of 50 ml/m² using a roller.

• During application, ensure even distribution of the antislip additive in the lacquer tray.

• After drying, but no later than 12 hours, apply the sealant a second time without VARIO-NOSLIP with 50 ml/m².

Notes

 • Significant sedimentation tendency during processing; therefore, the mixture should be regularly homogenized for uniformity.

• A thin application with the add is necessary for even grain distribution. In the second step, seal without the add to properly embed the grain in the sealant.

• The amount of sealant determines the height of the surface texture. If certificates are necessary, the prescribed quantities must be adhered to.

• For topcoats with typically around 100 ml/m², apply in two steps as described here.

• Mix enough lacquer to apply a full layer across the entire area; re-mixing can lead to visible quality variations.

Consumption

• 4 g/m².

• One delivery unit is sufficient for 110 m².

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Note: The slip-resistant effect may decrease due to mechanical stress (walking, rolling, etc.) and intensive cleaning.

• Due to the surface structure, an increased cleaning effort is to be expected. We recommend brush cleaning with soft brushes.

• To maintain the characteristics of the surface, we recommend occasional re-sealing.

• Conventional maintenance with cleaning agents or film-forming acrylate dispersions is not recommended as it may impair the slip-resistant effect. Maintenance instructions: Please refer to our flooring- and project-specific maintenance instructions at www.gerriets.com.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Indefinitely stable in unopened original containers.
