Sales Director

We are currently seeking a Sales Director to develop and implement effective sales strategies, tactics and action plans to increase our sales volume and hit annual growth targets. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, sales experience selling in the entertainment industry, the ability to work with others in a fast paced office environment and the desire to go above and beyond to help our customers. This is a senior level position and an excellent opportunity for the right person.


Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an effective sales plan to hit sales targets and expand current customer base
• Manage and direct customer service/sales & marketing team to achieve growth targets
• Develop and implement plan to grow sales department
• Generate new sales opportunities through outbound calling, emails and social media
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
• Effectively communicate the value we bring through written correspondence and quotations
• Review and approve quotations by sales team prior to sending to customer
• Understand category specific landscapes and trends
• Generating quotations and responding to customer requests in a timely manner

Requirements

• 5-7 years of proven sales experience selling in the entertainment industry, meeting or exceeding targets
• Good knowledge of theatrical practices, drapery construction and stage equipment
• The ability to read and understand architectural drawings
• Proven ability to drive sales process from plan to close
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Proven ability to position products against competitors
• Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• The ability to work with CRM software to track and close sales
• The ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Strong problem solving skills
• Must be a team player with a positive, respectful and courteous attitude.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent
