In the world premiere of D • I • E, Albert Oehlen's dynamic charcoal drawings are brought to life: they collide and grow into each other, they interact with the movements of the singers on stage. These effects are made possible by Gerriets' ultra-transparent 3D PROJECTION GAUZE, used by scenic designer Thomas Stammer.
"In a multiverse without direction, Thomas Stammer transforms thirteen drawings into time. The music moves these holographic sculptures restlessly from shape to shape. Fleetingly they meet the living bodies on stage. A journey without arrival, an art without categories and definitions – Wertmüller, Oehlen and Goetz are connected in this vision."
