Operations Assistant

We’re looking for a full-time Operations Assistant to work alongside our Operations Manager both in the office and in the warehouse. Gerriets is a leading manufacturer of projection screens, acoustic solutions, dance and event flooring, theatrical soft goods and specialized stage equipment used on projects worldwide. Duties Include but are not limited to:

  • Organizing parcel and freight shipments through UPS, Fedex, and Freightquote.
  • Assembling and organizing order packets to give to warehouse.
  • Assisting in the warehouse with pulling orders, packaging, restocking and organization of the warehouse.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading packages/freight.
  • Assisting with the fabrication of curtains, projection screens and track systems, including cutting fabric and screens, grommeting drapes, and cutting aluminum track pieces.
  • Work with Operations manager and warehouse staff to organize the warehouse and maintain a clean and organized workshop.
  • Assist with special projects
  • Assist in on-site installations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of rental inventory.

Required Skills:

  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Be able to lift over 50 lbs
  • Must be able to meet the rigors of a physically demanding job
  • MS Office
  • Ability to multitask under pressure and within time constraints
  • Basic Carpentry
  • Rigging and/or sewing experience a plus
  • AutoCad proficiency preferred

Other Requirements:

  • High School Education required, BA/BFA in Technical Theater a plus
  • Valid Drivers License and ability to drive up to a 26' box truck
  • Valid Passport or ability to acquire one
  • Willingness to travel for periods of time both within the US and internationally
