Modern architecture and targeted room acoustics with single-layer G-SORBER

The Højvangen Church in Skanderborg, Denmark, designed by Henning Larsen, combines contemporary architecture with the aim of being an open and integrative meeting place for the community. The clear design language and the open room structures place high demands on the acoustic design.

To optimize the room acoustics, the ceiling surfaces were fitted with single-layer G-SORBER elements. The single-layer absorbers blend harmoniously into the modern architecture and at the same time ensure pleasant speech intelligibility and a balanced acoustic atmosphere throughout the church.

By combining a functional acoustic solution with architectural restraint, G-SORBER supports the versatile use of the building - from church services to cultural events and community activities.
