Travelling on the island with two mountains with the good old steam locomotive Emma: The children’s ride “Jim Button – Journey through Morrowland” (so called “Jim Knopf – Reise durch Lummerland”) will take young and old on an exciting train ride, visiting the main characters of Michael Ende's narration.

For the hall of King Alfons the Quarter-to-Twelfth, Gerriets engineered an unveiling curtain which, by the use of compressed air cylinders, allows extremely fast opening (and closing) as soon as the train passes through a light barrier right outside the tunnel. Due to the uncommon quick opening, the element of surprise is guaranteed and the hall is isolated from curious looks from the outside.

The 13-storey cube-shaped new Axel Springer building has been officially open since October 2020 and is located on the former course of the inner-German border, which runs right through the building.
The modern office building was designed by renowned Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas.

The curtains produced and installed by Gerriets, make a significant contribution to the design of the interior. The curtains were designed by Inside Outside, with whom Gerriets has had a long-standing partnership.

The "Alte Reithalle Aarau": an extremely extensive, exciting and varied project.

In collaboration with Barao-Hutter Atelier from St. Gallen and the theater planning office of Hans-Jörg Huber and Esther Ambühl from Baar in Switzerland, the support track construction for the entire chain hoist system was realised in the Alte Reithalle Aarau using the Gerriets heavy-duty track system CARGO XL. Approx. 260 m of CARGO XL were used here, which allow the chain hoists in the old riding hall to be positioned and controlled in a highly flexible manner.

In addition to the heavy-duty track system, Gerriets also assembled the complete notice board in the foyer of the Old Riding Hall and flexibly installed it on the TRUMPF 95 curtain track system with tubular hooks on trusses. The notice board was made of Gerriets CLIVIA 450 velours in deep black. A total of approx. 1,600 m² of this was processed.

A main curtain for the large stage was made of Gerriets-TREVIRA CS velours ALICANTE in anthracite. Special attention was paid to the foyer area, which can be moved and adjusted in size, with an elaborate decorative canopy made of silver-coloured special spun fabrics, lined with ABSORBER CS, a material specially developed by Gerriets with very high sound absorption values. A total of approx. 800 m² of the silver-coloured special fabric and approx. 1,400 m² of the ABSORBER CS were processed - all textiles can be packed away in special cases with ventilation slots, which are included in the delivery. To meet the acoustic challenges of the indoor riding arena, 30 pcs. Gerriets G-SORBER 1-layer with a curtain size of 2.30 x 7.00 m (w x h) each, including a complex control system for individual and programmable group movements. The G-SORBER with ABSORBER CS curtains can also be moved at an angle by means of a special guide. The dance floor coverings for the stage, including the necessary transport trolleys, were also supplied by Gerriets. In the Aarau riding hall, the newly developed VARIO 2.0, which impresses with its excellent surface properties in combination with its extremely high load-bearing capacity, was
chosen as the dance floor.

As further special features, the custom-made seat cushions for the stage platforms and all curtains in the rehearsal areas and vestibules at the entrances were supplied by Gerriets for this project.

The visitors to the newly refurbished National Theatre in Tbilisi are in agreement that it is a wonderful building with a spectacular interior. The renovated Opera House features an ornate, gold house curtain finished with elegant detailing made from Gerriets special effect material GRANAT.

Acoustic curtains and projection systems for modern, cube-shaped new building of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland:

• 23 sound curtains OFFICE with outer layers made from stage velvet BARCELONA and ALICANTE in combination with TRUMPF 95 OFFICE track systems and FRICTION-DRIVE.

• Around 2,700 square meters of stage velvet CLIVIA 600 were used to create the festoons, legs and a main curtain.
• The grand theatrical curtain has been decorated with a golden ornament application using the effect fabric GRANAT.
• The sound-reflecting textile CLIVIA ECHO was used to improve the acoustics.
• A silver camouflage curtain measuring 18.0 x 11.0 m (59 x 36 ft).
• The dropping of backdrop material was made possible by using an electronically controlled KABUKI G2 system.
• A gold-coloured, two-part grand theatrical curtain with a width measuring 20.5 m and a height of 11.0 m (67 x 36 ft).
• A second grand theatrical curtain seamlessly printed on a surface of 17.0 x 11.1 m (56 x 36 ft) delivered completely assembled. The motive was painted according to a photograph of the original curtain that was burned in the past and painstakingly reconstructed by the Georgian artist Sergo Kobuladze

• Supply of a 7.8 m high by 9.6 m wide main curtain in red CLIVIA 600. An ornate Soffit 8.6 m x 3.72 m made of red CLIVIA 600 with yellow gold GRANAT applique detailing was also fitted.

• An original stitch template from 1911 was used as a reference for the ornate curtain decoration. This involved hand painting enhanced with gold leaf as well the addition of cords, fringes and tassels to complete the design.
