SOUND CURTAIN STAGE

One area of application for acoustically effective textiles is sound insulation. For example, the Gerriets STAGE sound curtain, which is installed directly behind the main curtain and is lowered after the main curtain is closed during conversions in order to separate the noise from the conversion on stage from the auditorium.

For this purpose, we have been developing the 5- or 7-layer sound curtain for many years, which reduces these sound emissions by up to 18 dB/A.

Sound insulation values according to expert opinion:

• 7-layer up to ~ 18 dB.
• 5-layer up to ~ 16 dB.

Our OFFICE sound curtains have a similar structure and can be used to elegantly separate offices, meeting rooms and other areas using electrically driven rail systems.

Fabric qualities of the curtain in the 5-ply version:

The front consists of CLIVIA 600 stage velour, smooth. The inner layers alternate between two layers of CALMUC in raw white and a layer of special PVC film. Lining satin is used for the back.

Fabric qualities of the curtain in the 7-ply version:

The front consists of CLIVIA 600 stage velour, smooth. The inner layers alternate between three layers of CALMUC in raw white and two layers of special PVC film. Lining satin is used for the back.

All materials used are flame-retardant in accordance with DIN 4102 B1 or DIN EN 13501-1.
