Mirror films in the exhibition "The Presence of the Absent"

As part of the exhibition "The Presence of the Absent" at the Frankfurter Kunstverein, the internationally renowned art collective Marshmallow Laser Feast presented the impressive spatial installation "Distortions in Spacetime". The work addresses the relationship between space, time and perception and brings physical concepts such as gravitational fields and space-time curvature to life in a poetic and visual way.

A central design element was the use of our mirror film, which contributed to the alienation and transformation of the space. Thanks to its flawless reflection and high optical quality, the film enabled immersive distortion effects that created a seemingly unbounded, floating atmosphere. The reflections changed depending on the viewing angle and movement, creating an impressive interplay of spatial perception and instability, entirely in keeping with the artistic concept.

With around 32,000 visitors, the exhibition was one of the most successful projects of the year at the Frankfurter Kunstverein. The installation demonstrates the creative potential and versatile design possibilities of Gerriets mirror films in the field of contemporary art and spatial staging.
