The lowest possible flow resistance is decisive for good sound permeability. Sound-permeable fabrics influence the dissipation of sound waves and is therefore ideal as privacy screens for speaker boxes or other acoustic signals. When installing a curtain system, where the acoustics in a room are to be changed as little as possible, sound permeable textiles should be used.

Textiles are often used in acoustics to cover absorber systems. The simplest type here is a broadband absorber made of glass wool or rock wool, which is then covered with a textile. The sound-permeable textiles from Gerriets are ideally suited for this purpose.
