Modern architecture and tailored room acoustics with single-layer G-SORBER

Højvangen Church in Skanderborg, Denmark, designed by Henning Larsen, combines contemporary architecture with the aim of serving as an open and inclusive meeting place for the community. The clean lines and open spatial structures place high demands on the acoustic design.

To optimise the room acoustics, the ceiling surfaces were fitted with single-layer G-SORBER elements. The single-layer absorbers blend harmoniously into the modern architecture whilst ensuring pleasant speech intelligibility and a balanced acoustic atmosphere throughout the church interior.

By combining a functional acoustic solution with architectural restraint, G-SORBER supports the building’s versatile use – from church services and cultural events to community activities.
